Myrtle beach weather tornado warning

There have been several reported tornadoes in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area over the years.

The most recent significant one occurred on April 14, 2019, as part of a severe weather outbreak that affected much of the eastern United States.

This particular tornado touched down near Little River, about 15 miles northwest of Myrtle Beach, causing damage to trees and power lines but thankfully no injuries or fatalities were reported.

However, there have been other tornadoes in the past that caused more extensive damages, including an EF-3 rated storm that hit Conway, SC (about 20 miles inland from Myrtle Beach) in October 2016.

It’s always important for residents of coastal areas like Myrtle Beach to stay informed during periods of severe weather, as these types of events can be particularly dangerous due to the risk of flooding, high winds, and flying debris.
